چکیده
Supported nano zero-valent iron is receiving great attention nowadays due to its effectiveness in treating heavy metal pollutants. Therefore, this study aimed investigate the of granitic residual soil-supported (Gr-nZVI) for removal metals Pb2+, Cu2+, Co2+, Cd2+ Ni2+ and Zn2+ mixture solutions under different experimental conditions batch equilibrium tests. In study, Gr-nZVI was successfully synthesized by using chemical reduction Ferric Chloride Hexahydrate (FeCl3.6H2O) Sodium Borohydride (NaBH4). The physical properties, morphology mineralogy all adsorbents were characterized Braeuer–Emmett–Teller (BET) method, cation exchange capacity (CEC), X-ray fluorescence (XRF), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), field-emission (FESEM), diffraction (XRD) Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR). Isotherm, kinetic diffusion model analyses conducted fit data. results show rapid adsorption within 5 min initial stage Pb2+ on nZVI (qe.Pb = 17.89 mg/g) 15.29 mg/g). also showed no significant effects pH temperature, serving as a good example an energy-efficient process. isotherm data fitted better Langmuir pseudo-second-order metals. models revealed that not only rate-limiting step. compared Gr demonstrated superior selectivity. Hence, these materials can be utilized alternative ions from wastewater.
